Considered the culinary cornerstone of Ethiopian cuisine, the name Berbere means hot and that is appropriate as the star ingredients in this blend are usually a mix of black, cayenne and chili pepper flakes. As with many seasonings from around the world, there are many variations of this blend and ours does not disappoint! Even though this Berbere does pack some spiciness from the chili peppers, it is more flavorful than crazy hot.åÊ Excellent on seafood, chicken, pork, beef and in soups and stews.
