Meet the Makers: Bazaar Valentine 2025

78th Street only:
Alexander Draven
“In a sea of cheaply slapped together, look-alike fashion sent out to every online store and boutique, The ExCB offers you original hand crafted designs so you can stand out from the crowd.
Unlike other watch companies that claim to make their own timepieces and merely import or assemble them, only The ExCB is a one-man operation creating unique watches completely by hand."
Tess Pell
“I make fine jewelry by hand in my home studio. I use solid precious metals and genuine gemstones to make heirloom quality pieces using traditional techniques. I merged my background of fine jewelry and fine art and created In Good Company to provide people with fair pricing on ethical fine jewelry."
Alicia Alford
“Hello, Nice to meet you! I have a passion for keeping traditions alive. I make many of the things we all grew up seeing or using, especially when it came to grandmas house! From bowl cozies to help protect your hands from hot bowls fresh from the microwave and bag buddies to store all of those darn plastic bags and embroidered baseball hats. But my favorite is embroidered towels for both the bathroom and kitchen! These are definitely not your Grandmama's towels. Many of them are topped with a quilted topper so you can button them around your oven handle or drawer pulls so that they stay put when you use them. So if you're tired of the kids, dog or even spouse letting the kitchen towels hit the floor I’ve got you covered!!"
Alysse Boyd
“As the owner of Rocky River-based Stuffed Hot Cocoa Bombs, Alysse combines her imaginative flair and love for cooking to craft small batch, handmade cocoa bombs. Her delicious, and equally beautiful and unique designs, are meticulously created to enjoy as part of a holiday celebration or any special occasion clients can think of and might request. She is know for her hot cocoa bomb characters."
Amanda Nugent
“Hi, I’m Amanda, the owner of Opal Rose Creative Studio. As a local graphic designer, I create greeting cards that are anything but ordinary—sarcastic, witty, and sure to make you smile! My cards are proudly printed in Cleveland, OH, so with every purchase, you're supporting two small, women-owned businesses. In addition to cards, I also design fun products like stickers, mugs, and tea towels."
Amber Spigelmyer

We also incorporate shipwreck pottery into our pieces. I am an artist award winner at Ohio Mart at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens."
Carmella Williams

My work draws inspiration from the realms of fantasy and sci-fi, transforming everyday lighting into something truly otherworldly. Each piece is brought to life through a variety of mediums, including woodworking, 3D printing, scratch-building, needle felting, and wiring. Whatever the idea calls for, I’ll use the tools and techniques needed to make it happen. I believe art should be for everyone, so I strive to price my creations accessibly, ensuring more people can bring a bit of magic into their homes."
Courtney Klesta
“The Pocket Crab Project invites color and whimsy into peoples lives through exciting original art prints featuring delightfully vibrant animal characters. These critters (along with other elements from the Pocket Crabverse) have found their way into handcrafted pins, keychains, stickers and more."

We are known for our Nanay Perla's Vegan Ube Cookies that is addictingly good and in demand at all of the markets. We also offer various Filipino and Asian inspired baked goods for everyone to enjoy."
Griffin Kowalczyk
“I am a self-taught digital artist from Cleveland who specializes in a scribble style of drawing. I would describe my art style as a sort of "controlled chaos", which really reflects my day to day life. The subject matter of my art is a mix of pop culture portraits and original works, of which I sell prints and larger framed pieces."
Heidi Cartwright
“We are a husband & wife duo specializing in handcrafted wood pieces. All of our wood is locally sourced. Brent works with the wood grain to create unique pieces. Our work includes charcuterie boards in various shapes and sizes, hardwood bookmarks, wine caddy, coasters and bottle openers and catch all trays. Our garage shop added a laser engraver so many of our pieces also include colored veneer and engravings to really make our pieces stand out."
Ira Tecson
“I think the phrase “Ope, I just arted" reflects the broad range of handmade home goods I fabricate, as a Midwest maker. For jewelry holders, I model tentacles on my iPad then 3D print with PLA. The tentacles have a peg modeled in so I can drill into a painted wooden base and then embed the printed piece into it. I then seal everything with resin. I also make tufted pieces using acrylic yarn and a rug gun. The wall pieces are made with a 1/4" wooden backing that I cut with a jigsaw to shape and then cover with felt and then add a sawtooth picture hanger hardware to. I have stickers and magnets that I have designed and drawn on my iPad, all of which are original images or originally designed 3D models. Although a higher priced item, any Itty (mini or large tufted chest wall art) sold has a portion of the proceeds go towards the Breast Cancer Research foundation. I figured why not have a fun business name that goes towards a good cause?"
Jamie Sopko
“I make knitwear accessories using a multitude of fibers. Most of my items are made with 100% superwash merino wool that has been hand dyed by indie dyers. Items made with hand dyed wool are available in multiple weights and styles, with no two looking the exact same! Each item is hand knit and finished by me."
Jennifer Worden
“I cut, fuse, and melt glass into whimsical art pieces."
Jenny Chalk
“I doodle whatever comes to my mind - usually involving hearts, love, happiness, Cleveland and pizza. Then I take those doodles and sell them as art prints, greeting cards, stickers - and even printed on clothings or hats. I'm starting to look into printing on either items as well. I definitely have a lot of items that fall under love/valentines - and my favorite part is seeing other people see my work and enjoy it!"
Jessica Levering

My goal is always to offer a wide variety of products and price points so that everyone is able to leave with some handmade art that makes them happy, while maintaining a cohesive and visually appealing body of work across two mediums."
Kerri OConnor
“Did you know that jewelry creation is about expanding the reflection of light using lustrous metals and beautiful stones? It is my passion to create captivating jewelry and cut stones that are alluring, vibrant, and an expression of that light - talismans or amulets to wear throughout the day. It is my intent that this will be passed on to the wearer. Why? If you are happy, you will naturally spread it like wildfire to everyone around you. And then they will feel good too! I use captivating, natural gemstones, lustrous sterling and fine silver, gold-filled and copper metals in my designs. Why? Historically precious stones and metals have been used to imbue leaders with strength, courage, will and other positive qualities. And in today's terms, precious metals and gemstones are eco-friendly. They are healthy, naturally beautiful, and feel wonderful against your skin."

Melanie Fellows
“Wonder Lust Concepts began in classic fashion while I was wearing something I had made for myself and realized there was an opportunity to share my craft. WLC has certainly evolved over the past seven years including a collaboration along with expanding into home and plant decor, but the quality of product and attention to detail has never wavered. As I have grown and expanded as an artist I have tried to stay true to my original goals of using raw and up cycled material whenever possible and bring back the beauty of something that may have been forgotten. I prefer to work with raw stones in my jewelry and look forward to adding more stone work to my macrame collection this year. While plant hangers tend to be my most focused area I try to keep them interesting with fun and unique adornments to be functional and a conversation piece to add to you living space."
Melissa O'Brien
“I enjoy designing and creating jewelry that is understated, elegant, modern, and wearable. I make each piece by hand, and strive to create pieces that are casual enough to wear with jeans, but elegant enough to wear for an evening out. I get excited by the act of creating and the process of transforming an idea into something real that can be held in your hand. Rarely do I start with a concrete idea, I prefer to allow the creative process to happen organically. I am most inspired with shaping and forming and the use of positive and negative space. It is not unusual for me to work on multiple pieces at a time, I find that the time away from a piece can give me a fresh perspective. My designs, which are all hand fabricated, are made predominately in sterling silver, copper, and semi-precious stones. I enjoy each phase of the fabrication process. I handcraft the majority of the components of my jewelry, I do purchase chains and some clasps. I enjoy creating something out of nothing, it motivates me to keep pushing myself and trying new things."

“Hello there! I am Sharon, the face and hands behind Stitches + Sass. I make fun and sassy accessories for pets! Starting out as a quilter, I made gifts for expectant moms. That developed into a business in 2016 where I created sewn items for babies. I'm a huge animal lover (it's a problem), so a pet line was added in 2017 that completely took over the business! I make reversible & adjustable bandanas, bow ties, toys and catnip kicker toys. And, we also offer grooming products, such as organic paw wax and a dog shampoo bar. I like to bring you fabrics you won't find anywhere else and I also design some. A lot of our prints are based on humor, being a good person, social justice and anything snarky- so you may find something you didn't expect here. We believe what you buy for your pets should be 100% fun, but also functional. Most of the items have more than one feature in order to make them multi-use. All bandanas are reversible and adjustable, and the cat toys are made of recycled filler. We also donate to animal shelters with all online orders. Hope you love what you see!"

Krysta Curl
“I make carefully hand-crafted crafted bags and accessories from vintage kimonos. I buy vintage kimonos in bulk from a Japanese textile recycler, so I never know what I'm going to get. Opening each box is like Christmas morning! I then hand cut and assemble each piece of fabric to make truly unique items. Once this fabric is gone, it is gone for good. Most of the kimonos I receive are silk so with a few exceptions, my bags are silk and are lined in silk. I come from many generations of craftspeople who never let anything go to waste. They used their creativity and crafting skills to make something beautiful out of materials that would have otherwise been thrown away. Japan has a long, long history of mindful reuse and repair. Even though Japan is a world away from where I grew up, this aspect of Japanese culture feels like home to me."

“Bubs & Co is an all-natural pet treat and supplement company based in Cleveland, Ohio. As a devoted pet parent to my three fur babies, Cleo, Kona, and Swisher (affectionately known as "The Bubs"), I was determined to create healthy options that I could trust to give them. In 2023, I took the leap and turned my passion into a reality, launching Bubs & Co with a simple yet ambitious goal: to provide pets with wholesome, all-natural products that promote overall health and wellbeing. Our journey began (and continues to be) in my own kitchen, where I experimented with different ingredients and recipes to create treats and supplements that not only tasted great but also provided real benefits for my pets. Our product line includes a range of innovative and delicious options, from dehydrated pumpkin and sweet potato treats that support digestive health to green lipped mussel powder that helps reduce inflammation and promote joint mobility. We also offer frozen Greek yogurt treats that provide a cool and refreshing way to support probiotic health, as well as dog beer - yes, you read that right! - made from all-natural ingredients like fish oil and spirulina. What sets us apart from other pet companies is our commitment to using only the highest-quality, all-natural ingredients in every product we make. We don't believe in adding artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors to our treats and supplements - instead, we let the natural goodness of our ingredients shine through. Whether your pet has food sensitivities or allergies, or you simply want to give them the best possible nutrition, we've got you covered."

“2 ODD BIRDS is the embodiment of an artist’s passion for creating unique, nature-inspired jewelry. Each piece begins with stones hand-picked directly from Mother Nature, chosen for their natural beauty and character. I complement these stones with brass that has undergone an oxidization process, giving each piece an aged, weathered appeal, as if the stones were unearthed from the ground itself. My goal isn’t to create jewelry that is shiny and perfect; instead, I embrace the raw, unique, and imperfect—much like the soul of Cleveland itself. At 2 ODD BIRDS, I transform these elements into beautiful, wearable art, designed for those who appreciate the beauty in imperfection and the stories each piece holds. My hope is that you will cherish and love these creations as much as I do."

“Pierce Jewelry offers a wide variety of handcrafted, original items. All of the jewelry is created using sterling silver, 14K gold and gemstones. Each piece starts out as basic wire or sheet and is then cut, formed, soldered, hammered, finished and set as needed. The additional use of vitreous enamels adds additional color and depth to the jewelry. The signature leaf shape and hammer texture is evident across the entire line."
