Bazaar has been supporting local makers + small businesses since 2004. We are launching a series of informational announcements this summer about the economic and social impact of handmade + makers on our beautiful city and region. Today let's talk about how much money stays in your city when you shop local. The generally accepted number is 68%. However, we'd argue it's a much higher percentage when you buy directly from an artist or maker at an event like ours. Making conscious choices about your spending habits affects not only you but everyone in your community as well. Your typical Bazaar seller is not spending your money on flying pop stars to outer space, let's put it that way! Thank you as always for supporting our maker community for the past 20+ years.
