We are a husband & wife duo that create fiber jewelry using micro macrame techniques. Our work features a vast collection of gems & minerals that we source from around the world. We work with different lapidary studios to find the best variety and create a body of work including rings, bracelets, cuffs, anklets, "woven henna" hand decorations, necklaces, chokers and earrings. Our work is free of glue (no shortcuts getting the stones to stay in place) just advanced ÒknotteryÓ. We make sure our cabochons have a deep groove cut into the periphery and use that to stabilize the stone with the tight knot work that fits into it perfectly. Sometimes we divide the thin waxed poly strand into two and just use half of the thread to do the weaving, the truest example of micro macrame. This process takes a lot longer but the result is extra beautiful and detailed. Lately we've been working a lot with Rhodochrosite and Sky Blue Onyx that we sourced from Argentina and some gorgeous Petoskey stones from northern Michigan that have been hand polished on one side until a gloss appears and the other side is a matte polish. The majority of our work is metal-free making it friendly for those with metal sensitivities. We embrace color, texture, patterns and originality as weÕve been living off of our art full time for over 20 years now.
